Getting started...

Three years ago I read a cyclist's inspiring story about his bicycle tour across America. Since then I've been wondering how the heck I could do the same. Well, things just sort of fell in place recently and my big opportunity to ride cross-country has come!

< Here's a shot of the 2011 Trek 520 I picked up last month for the trip.


My goal is to leave Oakland on May 19 and arrive in Yorktown, VA about sixty days later...
I'll be following the ACA maps as much as possible.
